Coal Creek Community Park & Museum, Korumburra

Shopping street

Coal Creek Community Park & Museum is situated on the Leongatha end of Korumburra, some 20 minutes from Koonwarra after passing through Leongatha.

It was initially created to preserve the unique history of coal and the development of the South Gippsland railway and the rural settlement which was accelerated by the dairy and timber industries.

It is a fascinating place to visit but be sure to allow plenty of time to wander through the many buildings and experience the atmosphere of days gone by.

Entry is free and it is open Thursday - Monday from 10:00 am till 4:30 pm and 7 days a week during school holidays.
